She is tall, though not quite as tall as Mojgan. Where with Nazanin it is easy to imagine her as either naturally the age she looks or enhanced with glass, there is little doubt to Mojgan that Zareii has extended her life. Her skin is smooth, but she carries almost none of the cocksure attitude of youth that Mojgan can see in the new street dancers or savashti. Zareii's confidence looks much more like Kurrem's--a confidence that was fought for and hardwon over a much longer time than her appearances would naturally afford. She still wears traditional Tezetan clothes, but they are slightly more relaxed than how Mojgan usually sees her, more suitable for preparing to be on a ship for the next week and change. She wears a deep berry red, white, and black ensemble, and the fabric of her skirt is thin enough that Mojgan can tell she is wearing wide legged pants beneath them, and shoes more like the ones the crew is wearing--accommodations for ship life.

"If I were to kill you here, I would be well within my rights," she says almost amicably, shooing you from your chair with a small flick of her fingers.

The self-styled Deyzalira of the troupe of murder harlots in Teraat and elsewhere in Nebay. The head of the company Arunshiid & Sons.

Tavalas says that Zareii was once married but is now widowed. Her husband moved them to Aamidal for business and died tragically. Zareii took over Arunshiid & Sons a few years before Altaxa's conquest.

When Mojgan offered Zareii the book Nazanin wanted Zareii said "it had been some time time since I spent time with this text" as if she had read it before or had access to it without Mojgan's help when Nazanin was so desperate for it because she could not access it in markets or the Tower despite her social status.

Despite Kurrem and Zareii being ostensibly against each other as legitimate and fraudulent dancers, they tend to work together especially during parties. Zareii has also started calling Mojgan kiyeda (even if she got Mojgan arrested in the same conversation).
