Kamina Kharagi is a member of the Koyan navy. She accompanied every one Nihn's Climber missions, and became the Commander's XO and confidante. Now she is stationed in Kalmoro, helping spearhead a new attempt to create and maintain a new fleet and expand the Climber's--and therefore the Autarchy's--borders.
Nihn has a tattoo of Kharagi's lip print high up on her inner thigh. It is rumored that Kharagi has a similar tattoo from Nihn, though it is speculated that it could be a lip print, bite marks ("dental records, in case she falls like Sahildar!"), Nihnsahiid's royal seal, or even a photo-realistic hand print like a slap. Most rumors think her tattoo is on her ass, though some believe the lip print might be at her bikini line, and some think the lip or bite marks might be on her shoulder blade. Alas, Kharagi is more conservative than her Commander, so it is hard to confirm through reputable sources.
Kamina Kharagi is of middling birth, from a moderately sized city, born to parents who were moderately well-educated but mostly unremarkable in careers in civil service. Kharagi found herself in her position not through birthright but through aptitude tests and letters of recommendation and personal desire and determination. Some set of choices she had made in her early life made her look like a good candidate, and someone higher up had taken note of it, and when she had qualified for the Koyan Climbers, they had matched her first mission with Princess Nihnsahiid's first mission, and personal compatibility glued them together in a way that defied the boundaries of class and background differences. The social cohesion gave her access to training and resources and opportunities a commoner on Aamidal would have never touched, and Kharagi pulled herself up and up and up.
