Aures sighs and looks up to you, hands on her hips. "This is the single worst kidnapping plot I think I've ever been involved in. You already told my sister where we were going!"
Aures is the second Mauslon daughter. After her older sister became involved in a serious relationship with Chloris Tetrenek, she and her twin were able to begin living with them. Aures is generally more regarded as the more responsible and mature sibling, and reflects much of Ms. Tetrenek's influence. While Serenka's Direktorship isn't guaranteed to stay in the family, Serenka and Chloris hope to pass on all their political power to Aures, as Isobel does not...quite have the temperament for it despite her closeness to Mhissain.
While Aures is not officially involved in any of Mhissain's fertility plots, she is the one who suggested that Serenka test out how Mhissain would react to Spiran blood. She also frequently directs Isobel to help get results she wants in politics.
Sometimes, Aures wonders if perhaps Isobel is not actually her twin but a poorly executed clone of herself. When she is feeling particularly paranoid, she wonders if perhaps Isobel is the original child and that she is the perfected clone. Her worst-case scenario would be that Serenka is a clone of their mama, and that the twins are clones of their mama's real children.
