Chiryn is one of the few Outsiders who did not flee the Waking World before Moonbreak. This may have been because she was being held prisoner within the ruins on Salt until found by Mhasrin.
Being one of the few Outsiders remaining, Chiryn could have very quickly become very powerful in the sector, but she is very plagued by eccentricities. Her main passion in life is urban planning, but she is incredibly agoraphobic after her internment and needs much coaxing from trusted members of her House to go outside or travel. She also exhibits an aversion to feeding herself that a human psychologist might liken to an eating disorder, though this is made difficult considering a layman would label Chiryn as a succubus.
She was one of Mhissain's primary governesses and has returned to Kalmoro to help the Kizyuisi's nascent rule. She also took Mhissain's companion, Bliss, under her wing to catch the girl up on her education and help her with her wild talent.
