Dorcas is an officer of the Qabisi Navy. She was involved in the Battle of Abarra where she was supposed to lead the standard ships, but her ship was crippled early in the fight. This caused Goldie's ship to take the lead, which led to the conspiracy that he was involved in a plot to murder Deleyr IV--or spared Dorcas from being accused of the same plot.
She has a somewhat rivalrous relationship with Nihnsahiid Osada, who clearly still shows personal favor to the dishonored Goldie.
