The Uv-karathi are a religious sect of humans that endure horrifying rituals that shape them into tools in the service of their god-king, Orv Haragan. Purportedly once worshipers of the god Xuriath, their convictions and doctrines were seized and twisted by the influence of Haragan, transforming the Uv-karathi into his unrelenting agents. The Uv-karathi are widely feared as spies and assassins, due to their ability to survive beneath the earth with no food or water in a nearly catatonic state until a certain stimulus wakes them. Those that venture through the lands of Haragan must tread lightly, lest they disturb an Uv-karathi ambush from below.
Most Uv-karathi are physically indistinguishable from one another as a result of their transformation; all are hairless, with sickened, sunken eyes and ashy, grey skin. Uv-karathi heads are oddly pointed at the top, and their abdomens are somewhat bloated, though they rarely eat or drink at all. Uv-karathi have large hands that allow them to effectively tunnel through dirt.
