The game starts in Bremen where Midnight wakes up at Granny Bonebreaker. After some hearty breakfast, she ran to Young Dave, as he had some work for her. Together they were to accompany an old couple from Bryn Shander towards Luskan. She agreed without hesitation and together with Khan Jackson, she left Bremen to Bryn Shander and with Philippe and Nancy to Luskan.
The camera switches to Raiann as he dreamt of being engulfed by a sea of blood. Not sure what to do, he senses the presence of his god, the Raven Queen. She tells him to go to Icewind Dale, as evil dwells there. So Raiann starts travelling, lead by a raven. After a few days, his travels end with a cold swim in a lake...
The camera is on Interference now, deeply sleeping in an inn in Mirabar. He dreams of gods and honor, suggesting to head towards Icewind Dale as well. Waking up he takes his things, goes downstairs and immediately suggests to Leofyr, his friend and travelling companion, towards his direction. It just so happens that Leofyr got a letter himself, urging him to go to Icewind Dale as well. As member of the House of Knowledge, he felt honored to pursue this task for his Grand Master and together they started travelling. After a sturdy breakfast of course.
Not much later a black tabaxi by the name of Kunai stood up in that very inn. Intrigued by the not so silent aasimar and half-elf, she decided to follow them. Eventually the pair was able to spot the sneaking kitty kat and after a brief conversation, they decided to travel together to Luskan.
Meet Kalagavi, Goliath Paladin of Eldath, just living his life helping others. An old woman approached him, begging for his help. Her son went missing, and she wanted Kalagavi to find him. The village had gathered some hefty reward for him to help. The helpful person that he is, he obviously agreed.
As Kalagavi neared the city of Luskan, he meets a strange party of travellers, consisting of a catperson, a big shiny person and a rather normal one. After some brief conversation, they discovered that their travels are the same and went together.
Once in the city of Luskan, the shopping episode starts. Leofyr buys some books, Interference buys a huge unicorn cake and Kalagavi buys some mint leaves. Meanwhile Midnight arrived in the city and she decides to buys some notebooks, ink and a coin? Together in the inn, they decide to eat, enjoy the cake Interference bought for Leofyr en have a blast with the new companion Khan and Midnight. Suddenly Raiann fell through the city, almost destroying the table while wetting the food. Where did he come from? With an angry yet drug addicted tavern keep, they gave Raiann some cake before heading to bed.
At first light, they gang of weirdos travelled together towards Icewind Dale when a sudden ambush appears near a mountain cliff. Roll initiative!
The bandits are quickly dispersed when a loud cackle appears on top of it. A man wearing a plague doctor mask and wielding a massive sword, he yells 'Do you think this is all I got?" as he chants the incantation to raise his bandits from the death.
