Alem is one of the continents on Pelaria and is home to Temshire, and many other kingdoms. It is segmented into many regions
Regions:
As the most populated Continent in Pelaria and the birthplace and location of many cultures, Alem has many names. The name that was originally given by the elënor was Donhamuar, meaning new world. After the fall of Veendeheim the novelë knew it as Alem, the name that is not most common among the peoples of Alem, but it is the name given on maps. The Danyor of Alem knew it by a similar name of Aolem, but the Nalnor of Himphi devised a very different name because they lived far across the sea, so the land was known as Fardonaigen (Nalnorian for far land across the ocean, roughly)
Men: The original men of Nalnia thought that the lands around Turchtan and the Karackurr were the entire world, and they knew this place as Olam. The other two kingdoms of the Thandrin order knew the world as Menyos (Vandrian) and Mundos (Anderonian). As the religious beliefs of the men of Nalnia the names of the world around them changed, though the original followers of Eowaria in Nalnia still knew the world as Olam, the Dandylonians called it Elam, and then the Serrions devised the name Denheb to honor their god. The Kalandari renewed the old name of Olam but it was slightly changed over time to the well-known Olem name used by the Rabnians and the Tubians. Similar to the Tubians, the later Kashnians knew the world by a slightly alter eolem, wihich is used by the later Rhobhians, the men of the Shonto commonly knew Alem as Shunjea throughout the many dynasties. The kastrians were sea explorers and had already witnessed the shores of Himphi and so they named the land Khaea, meaning western land, and so the men of the city Karadale would know this world through the Kastrian and Kaladurian rule. After the intermingling of the Danyorian and Kastrian languages, the delanians knew the western continent as Qinea, retaining the same meaning. The Snovchelik had many words for the land of Alem for they percieved only the lands around them. They often would use the word Mira but when the lands to the east (Angor) were discovered they called these farther lands nalamir meaning farther lands. The men of falnian still the world as Mundos similer to the Anderonians. The Temshirin Tighbet was the word used throughout Tenbards history by the Themshrians and Arngardians, though the later word of Cineal was a more common name in later years and is used in Keindshierland. Most of the eastern men that lived in Himphi did not know of the lands to the west until Abaddons invasion, so they wourld have just called it Quen-Dali, meaning far away lands in Ilshian. The Cadonians would often recall the lands they came from as Mik-agh, meaning far home, and the Cadonians would call it this even as their tongue changed. The Bucheli of the Westernmost Alem would have only names for their own lands such as Earean, and would adress the lands around them as Ard-Eowea, meaning the outer world. The southern dwarves of both Angor and Lifton perceived the world as Dargadon, or greater landmass. The Maldor of both the east and west northern ridges knew it of the same name, but in the local languages,
