Aenken had a white steed. He was clad in raiment of shining gold, and from his shoulders hung a red princely robe, flowing high in the wind, uplifted and spread out in gleaming splendor toward the sky. His eyes were blue as the ocean is summmer.

Aengus hath arrived with his robe flying fair,

Eyes of blue and gracefull hair.

For ye hath beauty like a blissfull spring,

His stance straight like a fair king.
