DE1000: Kiendshier-Temshirin

DE1400: Delanian, Kiendshier-Temshirin

The culture in Westpoint originally had a strong anti-Temshirin belief. Being one of the first towns to arise in Kiendshierland, it grew to be a very Nationalist town. However, as the town arose in its greatness people began considering themselves Earldrian rather than Temshirin as the nationalism soon regressed. Much like in Temshire, nationalism was a very rare thing and though it was more common in Kiendshierland, especially in small towns, larger cities would respect their Lord or Duke rather than the king. In Westpoint there was much Delanian influence as the center of Kiendshierin powerhouse moved to Dúl Farnom in the east isolated Wespoint from the main Kiendshierin military and culture. Soon people began refering to Westpoint by the Delanian name, Earldrum, and soon the name began to stick. Delanian architecture began to find its way into the city, especially in the newer regions of ~~~ and Westport. The new castle of Earldrum castle was a replacement made by the Duke of Westpoint during the year DE1389, in order to replace the old castle of Killkurry built in DE934. This new castle was built as a Delanian design and with Delanian culture in mind. Thus, the influence of Delanian culture in Westpoint skyrocketed.

History

The city of Westpoint was established near the year 918, just as Kiendshierland was being founded, as a small town surrounding the mouth of the River Lilith. The town grew quicly but the town of Cress to the east outpaced it, becoming the dominant town in the region before becoming a walled city in the DE1100. During this time Wespoint grew into a small port, however, due to Kiendshierland not having any trade partners over seas, there was little trade and more fish mongering. In the year DE934, Killkurry castle was built for the lord of the city, but he had little power. Soon, in the year DE1234, Delania opened its ports to Kiendshierland, deeming the risk of angrering Temshire "worth it." Thus, other trade partners began to form with Kiendshierland, and soon westpoint boomed into a large port. In the year 1357, the Lord of Westpoint was given the position of Duke of West Shalerum, and In the year DE1389, his son (Who was half Elëfir) built Earlwhite Castle atop Barley hill, north of Westpoint. During the years prior to this, the city of Westpoint grew more and more Delanian, as the culture began to seep into the cities
