Second only to the Humans, Elves make up the next largest demographic across the realms. While once an arcane and mysterious people, Elves today differ little from their human counterparts in most aspects outside of their physical appearance and lifespans.
In the days before theGodswar, the Elves were once a united people who lived largely separately from the other races but when the Gods called their children to war the goddess of the Elves, Kaileah, bade her children retreat deep into the forests of Merro rather then take up arms in the fight. The elves who chose to heed the words of their goddess vanished into the forests, becoming what would come to be known as Merro Elf and eventually Beastkin. Those majority who chose to reamain in the outside world were banished from the wood by their goddess, over time coming to resemble more and more the humans that they lived and fought alongside in appearance and culture, though they never completely lost the affinity for elemental magics that had once been gifted to them by their goddess.
Today, Elves have largely assimilated into the societies found across the realms and most would consider themselves to be a citizen of their realm before their people, a trait somewhat rare to come across in this world that was once so starkly divided.
Physical Description
Having lived so long in largely human societies, Elves are as diverse and colorful as their Human counterparts, though they do still universally possess the pointed ears that are a hallmark of their people. It's common amongst those more strongly attuned to magic to posses pupil-less eyes of unusually bright color, oddly colored hair, tattoo like marking on the skin, or some combination thereof. Alongside this, they share similar demographics to human in regard to typical appearances, so that information is included below.

Society
In an attitude that is somewhat unusual for the people of the realms, the Elves long separation from any kind of "ancestral homeland" has left the vast majority of them with a much stronger attachment to the homes they have made for themselves rather than memories of the great forests of Merro. With this in mind, Elven society varies as widely as the people themselves, with most following the customs of the humans they live among, despite the difficulties their much longer lifespans can lead them to face in these societies.
Trivia
It has long been a rumor that the last living "First-Born", the first of each people created by the Gods, is the elven warrior Falthir, who has become a kind of mythological folk-hero amongst the elven people. The rumor is, of course, completely unsubstantiated but that doesn't stop elven bards and tale-spinners from spreading wild stories and vague rumors of how he was "definitely spotted" one place or another.
