Before the Arban Canal was built by the gnomes, Terpon was the only way of transporting goods across the Western Continent without having to sail all the way around. Terpon still serves as a trade hub for Baport, Stelport, and certain parts of Esmiosa and Northwest Sunkora because of the gap in the otherwise impassable mountain range.
