Because of their ability to handle extreme heat, many Tieflings have made a living mining gems and other resources from the depths of the volcanoes of Torm and selling them in the ports at Marbor and Bruss. Vutzde Point, on the other side of Varm, is home to many academies and universities staffed by Tiefling professors--the most famous being UVP--the University of Vützde Point. Because the mysterious island of Nordessa is nearby, it also serves as a jumping off point for scientific expeditions to perform research there.
