Tarin was a lean man with weather skin from his time in the outer boroughs.
Piercing eyes constantly evaluated those they fell upon and more than one rumour
was spread about the inhuman sensation of his gaze. He favoured ornate,
embroidered robes in green and gold and wore his long hair tied fixed back in
the elven style with a golden clasp engraved with the house crest.
Tarin was a shrewd man, cold and calculating in pursuit of greater renown and prestige. A noble from a lessor house, his fortunes began to turn after entering into a partnership with the green dragon Sissavus. For a time, Tarin's secret dealings allowed him to slowly gain greater wealth and respect. However as suspicions began to arise, Tarin betrayed the dragon and cemented his reputation in the eyes of the people. In a further act of cruelty, Tarin taunted the dying dragon with his intent to craft the dragons hide into a suit of armour with which to earn greater power.
Hearing this, Sissavus cursed his own flesh with his dying breath so that it might exact revenge upon Tarin (and any other that would seek to draw power from its remains).

The armour Tarin commissioned consists of a coat and leggings of leather,
overlapping pieces of finely wrought metal (inlaid with twisted strands of
brass) that cover the entire body, gauntlets, a visored helmet and buckles and
straps distribute the weight over the body. Sissavus corruption would have a
devastating impact on the Lovage family as the armour wrought its
manipulations upon each generation.
