Hearthforge

Hearthforge is a small town set at the base of the mountains. Started as a small Dwarven mining town before being discovered as an apparent important location to small religious group.
Very quickly growing as the cult grew.
Modern day it is still a Dwarven mining town just with a large religious group calling it home and a much larger trading population/

Society

Hearthforge is a place where the cultures of dwarves and humans blend seamlessly. Respect for craftsmanship, hard work, and the bounty of the mountain are central to the town's identity. Festivals are held to celebrate major finds in the mines, the completion of significant works of smithing, and the change of seasons, highlighting the town's communal spirit and resilience.

Hearthforge is governed by a council made up of the heads of the 3 prominent dwarven families, a member of the brotherhood and any importiant members of the town who are deemed worthy to participate. The council is chaired by a Mayor, elected from among the council members, who serves for a term of five years. The current Mayor is a dwarf known for her wisdom and fairness. The Council mainly deals with the towns going ons where as the Mayor is the one to deal with anything external in the region. This also inculded representing the town in the larger region and being the face for the town when it comes to anyone visitng the town or mines.

The Brotherhood have a member on the council but they do not make decisions for the town. They simply are there to listen to the goings on and keep the council updated on the Brotherhood.

The town is manily Dwarves, followed closely by Humans, with few Elves here and there. As the weather improves they do get a decent amount of seasonal workers for the mines but they are not a massive mining town like others in the mountains.

Temple of the Forge

Hearthforge

The Temple of the Forge:

The spiritual and operational hub for the Brotherhood of the Forge, a guild dedicated to crafting, fabrication, blacksmithing and Knowledge. The temple itself is an impressive structure made of stone and metal, with intricate carvings depicting various forging scenes and symbols of the god Gond. It is said this was the landing spot of a spark from when Gond first smithed in the heavens

There's a grand yard with a massive outdoor forge at its center, where master artisans craft for the festivals and ceremonies. Surrounding the yard are smaller forges and workshops used for teaching new members as well as everyday fabrication as per the work requests.

The Hall of Echoes is a large library, museam and vault that holds the combined knowledge of the Brotherhood along with any fabricated artifacts or artifacs deemed too dangerous to be left unprotected.
The hall has a large above ground construction hosting all the free to public areas but the Vault is carved deep down into the mountain side and underground.

Council Building

Council Building:

Built long ago when the town was first founded as a vault for the ore from the mines. It is a heavily fortified classical dwarven building. it shows its age but it is still sturdy, boasting Banners and emblems of the towns ruling families. Newer Tapestries show off the newer families where as some of the older founding members are still carved into the very stones of the walls.

It now stands as not only the towns central management building but it is still used as a vault for importaint documents and anything else that may need to be stored securley by citizens or traveling nobles

It houses the chambers where the town council meets, along with offices for various officials. The elected Mayor lives in the building not only as they are in charge but aslo as a security measure for the vault inside

Town Center and Markets

The bustling center of Hearthforge, this area is always alive with activity. The town center is an open space surrounded by various stores and shops, with plenty of space for traveling merchants to set up stalls. There is A large rock in the middle of the area often used as the town cryer rock. It has been there since who knows when. Some members of the Brotherhood suspect it is the Spark from Gond but this is always brushed aside as just a theory by the leadership

Besides the numerous shops selling everything from weapons to food, there are often events and gatherings held here, such as festivals, markets, and public meetings.

In the heart of the town center, a majestic tree with strage coloured leaves stands proudly, its branches stretching towards the sky. Legend tells of a time long ago when a thief attempted to steal the first piece of precious ore extracted from the first mine of Hearthforge. This audacious act did not go unnoticed.

Thrain Ironbeard, an unassuming yet noble dwarf, called upon the power of Gorm to dispence justice. With a single, mighty swing of his hammer, Thrain smote the thief. In the place where the thief fell, a small sapling emerged, growing magically over the centuries into the magnificent tree that stands today. The tree is a living testament to Thrain's righteousness and the enduring power of justice in Hearthforge.
This legend along with Dwarven honour keeps anyone from attempting to steal any ore brought out from the mines and why the Ironbeard family are of noble blood in the town.
