Renku are feathery defectors from the Fugue plane, swayed by the impassioned treaties of The Embershard during his ascent to godhood. Now empowered by the deity of fire and rebirth, Renku's feathers are a deep crimson fading to coal black, shimmering and shifting as they catch the light. They are every bit as lethal as their Kenku counterparts, however their powers work in strange new ways to fierce and fiery effect.
Like Kenku, they are blessed with keen observation and supernaturally accurate memories. Unlike Kenku, who often portray their creation as a curse of being a flightless bird people doomed to merely mimic other people, Renku have a robust sense of pride and respect from their choice to reclaim a portion of control over their destinies.
