Dur'nen, the largest city in the cavernous reaches of Falanar's Underdark. Here, in the dark and treacherous landscape, the drow found their home... and their way of life along with it.

After all... to survive the dangerous, one must become dangerous themselves.

Most creatures who dwell in Dur'nen have eyes well adjusted to the plunging shadows, though massive stalks of bioluminescent fungal life offer some scant visibility to those surfacers unfortunate enough to have wandered along. Riding lizards are a common sight, and their capacity to run along walls has made travel through the city a three-dimensional endeavor.

The rule of law is dictated by Noble Houses almost strictly governed by the drow, though the occasional outsider may find influence if they be clever or ruthless enough to seize power. Nevertheless, it is considered ill-advised to visit Dur'nen without a guide; those who do lose their way are prone to becoming an unwilling participant in the Underdark's economy.

Independent and self-sustaining, Dur'nen's largest import is slaves.
