Regus is the capital city of the Republic of Formithlind, It is a neutral city run by an Oligarchy.

The city covers an area of approximately 30 acres, with a total population of 1838 people. The population is mostly half-elf (79%), with smaller numbers of humans (9%), halflings (5%), elves (3%), dwarves (2%), gnomes (1%) and half-orcs (1%).

The age of the city is almost the same as the surrounding Republic, 5 eras.

The Wizards Academy

Regus

Regus opens its first wizard's academy, and become experts in the instruction of all topics.

The Thieves Guild

Regus

The Thieves Guild:

Crime isn't new, but when the city of Regus was built, the criminal element drawn to this new home-- many of them cast-off half-elven mutts with nowhere else to go -- finally organized. Rules and order were established, and the Guild became a place where strays and those who had been discarded could go to find refuge and a new family to take them underwing. While several branches have since spread to other cities, the Regus Thieves Guild remains the oldest, their influence holding strong in the shadows, their eyes and ears carefully watching for new opportunities... and sometimes hearing what they were never meant to hear.

Their members are expected to follow three basic rules:

  1. Never steal from another member of the Guild.
  2. Don't kill on the job. Dead bodies don't carry coin.
  3. Don't steal from the poor. Beggars are often paid to be the Guild's eyes and ears in the cities, to watch for all the little secrets of the daily lives of its citizens.

When the city was sacked the Thieves Guild was thought to have been destroyed. There are recent rumours that they had a heads up about the impending doom and actually left to an unknown location.

The Adventurers Guild

Regus

For almost as long as Regus has stood, the Adventurers Guild has also stood. It was the first of its kind, hiring mercenaries and adventurers to protect and help the realm - supplying jobs, supplies, and training to all manner of local newcomers and veterans alike.

When the city fell, as to did the Adventures Guild. Members, records, treasure were all lost in the sacking.

Only recently did the Adventures Guild return to the city, headed by an anonymous patron. This new fledgling guild has been taking on veteran and green adventurers to rebuild its once solid and distinguished name.

The Sacking of Regus

Regus

A regular day turned positively sour as a gigantic purple worm burst forth from the ground, shattering the walls of Regus in an absolute mess of an attack.

Drow raiders quickly burst forward, ransacking the city while the worm thrashed about. The city itself was absolutely lost, the last few survivors hurried away in a portal by the adventurer's guild.

The remains of the city were picked apart by raiders, scavengers, and whoever happened to be passing by. Whatever remained of the once-great city laid in ruins, though it gave way to the perfect citadel for the Devil lord Perilor. Adventurers had brought the Devil lord to the city, he laid waste to the worm and took over the city. It became populated by the Brimstone Cultists, an organization based on gathering the world's magical artefacts.

In time, Perilor discarded the ruin of the city and his fortress for more magical pastures. Before vacating he instructed his cultist followers to dismantle his fortress, leaving the ruins nothing but a mess of stone.

Recently the half-elves in exile have decided to take back their ancestral home and rebuild the once great Regus.
