So, we killed a snake haired woman. I mean, she had it coming, after what she did to Alderbert... Though admittedly that was after the dumb Bear went to assault her without even bothering to ask any questions at all. Honestly, I sometimes wonder if there’s anything going on up there in his head, or if he just exists and hopes for the best. Don’t get me wrong, I like him well enough, and he seems sweet when he wants to be... Plus he could snap me in half with those huge Bear hands, which is admittedly pretty neat... Maybe I unpack this more later.
Anyways...
I have to wonder, after going through what essentially might have been a pointless fight, and subsequently Blue getting herself turned into stone, if I should really have a chat with everyone about diplomacy. A couple calming words or a friendly gesture can go a long way, and I can’t help but feel that one day we’re going to bite off more than we can chew... In fact, we already have, but by the grace of whatever being is watching over us the Steward decided to leave instead of continue the fight. I don’t know what kind of creature he might be, but I hope we don’t have to see him again for a long time. He makes my fur stand on end.
Lack of diplomacy aside, we actually did end up doing some good. Through some trial and error, and admittedly some hysteria on my part, we found out what happened to the De Brun child, Oisin. Some kind of magic mirror had trapped him and a bunch of the House staff, and we managed to free them from it! Well... Not before freeing both Balanash and Alderbert, who had gotten themselves trapped as well. Which of course just goes to prove my theory. The bigger you are, the more often you’ll get trapped in an unknown mirror realm! Or, more simply, the bigger you are, the less you’ve got going on ‘up there’! … I kid, I kid... Maybe.
