There is something to be said about the joy found in bringing two people, or in this case two misunderstood neighbors, together. I am glad that my party and I were able to find a peaceful solution to what otherwise would have surely been the extermination of a species. The Wolves of Welton and Welton’s other inhabitants have taken the first step towards a beneficial relationship, and ultimately, what I hope to become an easy friendship.
Before leaving I informed both Flame and Father Merrikson that should any need for a mediator arise, I shall do my best to assist in any form I am able, free of charge. It is undoubtably going to be a tenuous relationship at first, as the Wolves are essentially just children. They are just learning what it means to exist with newfound sentience in a world full of hatred and fear, a world that even with the experience I have gained over my own brief period of life struggle to exist in. Yet I have faith that, over time, the people of Welton and its Wolves will rise to the occasion, and as I have stated before, will become as close as any two peoples can be.
In the meantime, all I can do is keep my fingers crossed for the people of Welton, and for the dumb Wolves that have just begun their journey into a different aspect of life.
