First City, the Gem of Falanar The Humans who built First City came to dominate much of the known Western World. That is, outside of the Great Swamp. It became the beacon of civilization with it's massive walls and architectural rivaling that of the ancient city of Akarn.
Without any centralized form of government the free city is a hub of major trade and growth among Human 's and Human allies alike. Gold is the law of First City and if you had the gold you could buy just about anything in the city. It wasn't long before First City became home to orders of sell swords, craftsmen, agriculture and merchants of all kinds.
There were times where the lawlessness of First City had allowed for the fermentation of the most unsavory of trades and services. The Grung had found an environment which tolerated their craft and brought slaves to sell from every corner of Falanar including the local residents who could not afford protection. Parts of the city had become so infested with crime, murder and indecency that the Merchant Lords were forced to pay The Road Knights to restore order and remove the Grung from the city.
The city is divided up into Four major districts with ruled by Four Merchant Kings and their merchant lords. A beautiful square lies central with parks and fountains is reserved for festivals, events and meetings with a statue of the revered Forest Dragon. There is not what you would call a religion of the humans who settled First City so much as a shared dream by those who the dragon inspired. Though these days the dreams of the Forest Dragon have fallen into distant memory.
