Tekket-Onda Chen (Mentor)

Jedi Knight

Backstory

Tekket, like most of his species, was born under the yoke of the Hutt Clans, destined for servitude as just another one of their enforcers. Such a life never set right with him, feeling a call to something more from a young age. Knowing that attempts at escape would just leave him being hunted for the rest of his life, Tekket had little choice but to continue on in servitude until a fateful day on Tatooine.

Having found himself in the employ of the infamous Jabba the Hutt, Tekket was present in his palace on the day Luke Skywalker arrived to rescue his friends. He was amazed by the human's display of confidence and skill in confronting the Crime Lord and killing the Rancor, once again feeling the same pull he'd experienced throughout his life. Fortune saw Tekket spared from duty aboard the ill-fated trip to the Great Pit of Carkoon and when word of Jabba's death reached the palace, Tekket finally saw his chance for true freedom. Though he had achieved his goal, Tekket sought to find a new purpose and in the end decided to find the man who had helped him gain his freedom.

Appearence

A male Kajain'sa'Nikto with ice blue eyes with pale orange leathery skin, various scars on his body and face earned during his life.

Personality
A stern and serious man with little room for ‘silliness’. He takes his duty as a Jedi seriously and views himself as a protector of the Order. He views being a Jedi as an honor and expects his fellow Jedi to do the same and comport themselves appropriately.
Skillset & Role
Tekket is a trained warrior and one who takes the title of “Guardian” very seriously. In general he has tried to eschew violence as a solution when possible but he knows that old habits die hard. He distributes his time between the temples on Dantooine and Mikkia, primarily, helping to teach aspiring Jedi on how to defend themselves and others. He firmly believes in defending the weak and dislikes relying on trickery, subterfuge, or avoiding evil rather than facing it head-on. When combat does break out, he is always one of the first to engage and the last to withdraw, waiting until he knows everyone is safe.
