Background
Vean-tay Deaia is one of the Order's newest Knights, one who possesses a reputation that has caused friction with the more orthodox of her fellow Jedi on more than one occasion. Despite her skill in the Force, there are few who would describe her as a model student by any stretch of the imagination. Growing up an orphan on Ord Mantell, Vean-tay had to fend for herself during the dying days of the Empire, when lawlessness grew to ever increasing levels. From a young age Vean-tay realized she had abilities that set her apart from others, things she was more than happy to use to her advantage even if she did not understand their source. These gave her the edge she needed to keep herself safe and fed while so many others weren't so lucky.
While she was eventually identified as Force Sensitive and offered a place within the Jedi Order, the life Vean-tay had lived up to that point created a spark of independence and self-reliance that has never quite gone away. She continually chafed at the seemingly rigid structure of the Order, preferring to handle things her own way rather than follow the 'advice' of others. Still, her capabilities and success rate on missions were difficult to argue with, even if her methods were rather unorthodox. Now a Knight, Vean-tay spends little time at the temples, preferring to travel far and wide to deal with problems that need a Jedi without what she feels is the needless scrutiny of the Masters. She still makes appearances at temples from time to time, bringing with her an air of mystery and mischievousness that is sure to lead to consternation amongst those who have issues with her methods and 'antics'.
Appearence
A Mirialan woman in her mid-to-late twenties, with short blonde hair, and purple eyes. She is of average height and slim, in general not appearing all that remarkable which is a skill that she uses to her advantage.
Personality
Dry and sarcastic, Vean-tay is often accused of not taking anything seriously. She is seeming allergic to formality, speaking rather casually even with senior members of the Jedi Order or people in positions of authority.Skillset & Role
Vean-tay is a Knight who prefers to use guile to overcome problems than raw strength. She’s not overly concerned with the spirituality or philosophy of the Jedi, instead preferring to focus on practical solutions to the problems she faces. She is officially stationed at the Hosnian Prime Temple but she rarely spends time there. Instead, Vean-tay spends the majority of her time out in the field, taking on official and unofficial duties to help bring about justice in her own way. She works reasonably well with local law enforcement on the planets she’s operating on but there is still always a degree of friction considering her unpredictability and unorthodox methods.Campaign Development
