Tra'seya

Background

Born a daughter of the Deep Gorge clan, one of the many witch clans of Dathomir, Tra'seya was seen as special from a young age. While all witches are born with some affinity for magicks, Tra'seya showed an aptitude beyond that of her sisters. Whereas some could only harness the spells for healing or manipulating the weather, Tra'seya showed skills in them all. More than that, she clamed to be able to hear the voices of the spirits themselves.

As she grew older, Tra'seya's powers began to seen by many as a threat as much as an asset, suspicion and jealousy leading her to be shunned by her fellow sisters. Lost and alone, it was perhaps no surprise that she was approached by those witches who sought to bring about the rebirth of the Nightsisters, offering the isolated woman the community she desperately sought. In joining this secret society, Tra'seya betrayed the most sacred rule of the clans: "never concede to evil". Her new 'sisters' encouraged her to delve into the dark magicks, to learn how to harness them to strengthen her own power. In doing so, Tra'seya sought to get revenge on those who had shunned her and in the process became little more than a weapon through which the Nightsisters sought to once again dominate Dathomir.

It was at this time that fate would bring Luke Skywalker to Dathomir. The young Master had discovered the world thanks to an old recording of Yoda as a Jedi Knight reporting on a mission related to the witches there. Luke became embroiled in the conflict when the Nightsisters took him prisoner, deciding to learn more about what was happening rather than resorting to violence.

Being a man who could use magicks without reciting spells, Luke became a source of fascination for some of the Nightsisters and revulsion for others, Tra'seya herself feeling drawn to the Jedi. Her position allowed her to declare the captive man as her own, Luke deciding to play along due to sensing that there was more to Tra'seya than she was letting on. It was over the course of their conversations that he came to understand the deep longing she had to belong somewhere and that the dark path she had been driven to wasn't where she belonged. Though Tra'seya had intended to claim the prisoner as a mate, she came to regard him as a confidant and a friend, eventually being convinced to help Luke escape and return to the other clans with him.

With Luke successfully able to vouch for her change of heart, Tra'seya was able to assist the other witches in breaking the Nighsisters' strength, once again scattering the dark witches to the wind. Though her world was freed from evil once again, Tra'seya knew she could not return to how things were. Instead she accepted Luke's offer to join him off world, to learn the ways of the Jedi and expand her understanding of the "Force", joining a fellowship where she would truly belong.

Appearence

41, Human (Dathomiri), Pale skin with bright blue eyes, long brown dreadlocked hair kept in a ponytail, dressed in traditional Jedi robes with various charms and fetishes from her tribe on Dathomir, slight scarring on her hands.

Personality

Kind and thoughtful, Tra’seya is someone who has a deep and somewhat esoteric understanding of the Force. She is quite talented in the gift of foresight and has keen senses buoyed by the Force, often seeming like she is able to read someone’s thoughts even without actively trying to do so. She is someone who very much views the Jedi as her family and is always happy to discuss the deeper mysteries of the Force with her fellow Jedi. She is also personally familiar with the lure and dangers of the Dark Side and will always warn those she feels are in danger of straying too far from the Light.
