Backstory
Wulf Yularen was a military officer that had a career that spanned both the Galactic Republic and the Galactic Empire. Originally serving the Galactic Republic Navy, Yularen gained the rank of fleet admiral and often worked alongside Jedi General Anakin Skywalker. By the time of the Galactic Empire, Yularen worked within Imperial Security Bureau before becoming the deputy director of the reformed Naval Intelligence Agency (NIA). Despite his success in the position, Emperor Palpatine eventually ordered him to return to the military with the rank of Grand Admirial. Supposedly this was done because the Emperor was not satisfied with the other admirals progress in defeating the Rebellion. By the time the Empire was defeated, Yularen took control of the Imperial Fleet and pushed back against the newly formed Republic with The Core. However after the sacking of Coruscant, Yularen retreated to avoid the planet seeing even further destruction. His fleet took refuge on the planet Bastion, where he formed the Imperial Bastion faction.
Personality
Wulf Yularen was known for having a deep respect for the chain of command, to the point of willing to put aside his own issues or concerns in order to serve orders he was given. Yularen had little patience for active disrespect to authority and typically didn't approve of unorthodox methods or acts of recklessness. Despite his work within the Galactic Empire, Yularen never got over high civillian deaths and was seen as more honourable sort than most. Yularen was also known for having a brilliant mind when it came to both strategy and security intelligence.
