Darkness Dwells in Didyma V

Session Summary

• A group of Jedi padawan and initiate were fathered by Jedi Knight Noca Muss to investigate a request of the mining guild
• After discussion, the group traveled to Didyma V, having a small alchemy training session with Knight Muss while in hyperspace.
• Upon arrival, Knight Muss chose to split the party, personally investigating the mine shaft where the mysterious events happened while the PCs talked to the locals
• The group talked to the mining guild Foreman on sight.  While he was somewhat reluctant to give all the information he had he was eventually convinced to tell the party what he knew, including the location of a survivor of the incident.  During this time Raylan attempted to sense the emotions of the foreman, but the dark side was strong on the planet and instead he heard voices, screams, and other disorienting noises.
• The group found the survivor, an Aqualish captain of a mercenary squad. We questioned him and he showed us a recording of the event, Vivi managing to glimpse something white in the recording.  The captain also told us of a body that was recovered before saying, as we left, that he was going to retire somewhere nice, Dantooine was suggested but he didn’t seem to like the idea of being around a bunch of child jedi.
• We called Knight Noca Muss, who the party was worried would go down the mining tunnel alone without us, he did not.  He joined us as we inspected the body and through investigation revealed that whatever had done this had venom in its claw like digits.  Knight Noca Muss attempted to create an anti-toxin but was unsuccessful.
• The group entered the mine tunnel, which was unnaturally dark, and were attacked by the beast.  Knight Noca Muss managed to hit the beast but his lightsaber seemed to bounce off its skin.
• The group attempted to sense a way to the core of whatever darkness was the cause, in the end no one had a connection with the light side of the force strong enough to do so, Nezuel drew upon the dark side to help the group find their way.
• The beast, impervious to attacks, followed until we found what appeared to be a safe haven within the mines created by the force.  While the beast was unable to enter we investigated the area, finding a Jedi holocron that glowed red and released a dark miasma.  After investigation, it was revealed that the holocron contained the remnants of Je'daii master Jenell.  Her and her apprentice/son Lucmar had attempted to preserve their knowledge by incorporating themselves within the holocron as more than a holocron ghost.  In the process, Lucmar was turned into the beast and  Jenell died.
• The Holocron was destroyed, weakening the beast to the point where lightsabers could harm it.  Knight Noca Muss lost an arm fighting the beast, but it was eventually put down.
