A Crimson Dinner

Session Summary

• The Jedi Order had been requested to attend the planet of Trassyla and to meet with the ruler, Count Dravul, in order to negotiate their introduction into the New Republic.
• It was a cold, wet and dreary location that appeared ominous. The Jedi were informed that the planet was home to strange customs, not exclusive to the Anzati, and to be considerate of it.
• The Count, upon introduction, welcomed the Jedi into his manor and provided a tour. On the tour, it felt as if eyes from paintings were watching them and only added to the mysteriousness of the situation.
• At the dinner, the Jedi were welcomed to a feast of various meats. Most notably rancor. Upon eating it, some of the Jedi felt rather sluggish. The Chef, Aloo, pat Corr on the back and discreetly pricked him with something unknown to them.
• As the Jedi had been led back to their individual quarters and went to sleep, they suddenly awoke to screaming in the middle of the night. Finding their doors locked,
• Corr and Ben had unlocked the doors via skullduggery while Sestri and Soga broke their door down together, and Raskt broke his down on his own.
• In the hallway, the Jedi found that Jedi Knight Tenia was seemingly taken. Servants returned to the hallway and the Jedi briefly hid in their rooms, bursting out to confront a servant they then captured. The servant mentioned a doctor injecting the servants with a maddening formula and offers them the temporary cure to placate them. And that the doctor locks himself away in a tower with hidden access.
• Investigating their way through the manor, the Jedi found a dead end in the dining room and kitchen but noted that Jedi Knight Tenia had been in a struggle in the kitchen. They did note that a statue was missing its sword, however.
• In the throne room, the Jedi were confronted by Count Dravul and his Shistavanen servants under the influence of the maddening disease. Corr came under the effects of it, too, attacking Ben until Count Dravul fled the area.
• With the Count Dravul’s sword in their possession, the Jedi returned to the dining room and placed the sword with the statue, which unlocked the hidden path to the tower. In the tower, the Jedi were met by a captured Tenia, Count Dravul, Dr. Frakelstai. The doctor boasted about creating new life and the seeming corpse on the table came to life, being Frakelstai’s Monster.
• In the ensuing fight, Frakelstai’s Monster swiftly killed Frakelstai.
• Corr attacked the monster but soon became under the effects of the formula once more, turning his attention to attacking Ben again.
• Ben attacked Count Dravul and engaged in a prolonged duel.
• Raskt, Sestri and Soga were fighting Frakelstai’s Monster, with Raskt nearly being thrown from the tower.
• Count Dravul was eventually defeated, although while defeated Ben had chosen to kill the defenseless count.
• As Frakelstai’s Monster attempted to flee and cower in fear, Corr sliced off the hand that was carrying Tenia, while Sestri and Raskt then chose to kill it.
• The Jedi left Trasylla and returned to Dantooine.
