R’kio sat in his room. His tail curled around his front. His ears were lowered, though more in a relaxing position. His hand paws rested in his lap. It was night time, about the time when he would rest. His fur was off white. His fur had whitened from his contentment and calmness. It was a natural response. His fur kept a hint of teal in its color, giving it more of a grey look. There was not much movement in this room, save for the gentle motion of R’kio’s chest moving from his breathing. Beside his form was his yellow crystal, free from the lightsaber hilt. It floated next to him, helping him concentrate not just on levitating the crystal, but reflecting through the force. It helped anchor his thoughts on the force. Images from the missions flashed in his mind, he could see and recall, some memories were murky, but there was many clear images.
There were flashes of blaster fire. The crash of explosions and the shockwaves that were felt. He heard the special operation troopers call out orders, he heard their footsteps beside his form. The ignition of lightsabers. Dal’s whirlwind of her saber staff, bringing down a large walker. Darro’s and Talia’s fury against Cornelius. Nez’s sureness in spite of the seemingly chaotic situation.
Each memory passes quickly in the space of time. To R’kio, it was like reliving the mission. But his goal had changed. He was not to capture the Leaders of the Weeder gang. His new mission was to observe and search for a revelation.
To R’kio, this was important. He needed to know how to feel in what direction the force flows. There was a certain validation he needed to have. Not that he regretted his actions and wished they were different, but that his actions during the mission were right and correct.
Was his pause due to peer pressure or was it restraint brought on by the force?
Was it restraint that led him to suggesting cutting down the evil men in the hope that his friends would feel the same, or was it fear of being judged that prevented him from following up on his feelings?
Would him taking matters into his own hands be seen in a positive light?
