  • Session GM: SFB
  • Session Date: 26/05/25
Session Summary
  • Jedi broke up a Pyke operation, get a rumor that someone “controlled” the Jedi.
  • Concerned, the Jedi investigate.
  • Go to a bar the Pyke underboss had been to. Hear rumors of a sabacc tournament. With no better leads the Jedi decide to get into this tournament.
  • #TrustInTheForceBabe
  • Jedi make it into the tournament by gambling, poorly.
  • Sestri and Talia happen to see someone who stood out because of a conversation they had at the bar the previous night with some new friends. This person, Remi
  • Vonte, is high off her ass and reveals after 3 minutes of conversation that she is in fact a member of Crimson Dawn. Trying to get info out of her on how she’s manipulating Jedi proves unfruitful.
  • Riordan tries a hail force, tells her HE is a dismissed Jedi. Almost talks her into trusting him, but she holds back. Gets his contact info.
  • Everyone is watching this as he walks away. As they’re trying to figure out what to do next a woman walks up to Remi and whispers in her ear. Remi is clearly upset by what is said and storms off towards the garage.
  • The Jedi try to shadow her, they get made, Talia is shot, and the shadowing becomes a kidnapping arrest. Jedi grab Remi and get away before anyone can really try to stop them.
  • They load her onto the peacemaker and get going. Making contact with Master Yin Ke. Who informs them of a message the Temple received.
  • Riordan talks with Remi, and then to his fellow Jedi on what to do with her, no real decision comes from this discussion other than to protect her life. Apollo Vonte meets with the Jedi in a room rigged to blow.
  • Vonte wanted to formalize the relationship with the Jedi so that information would flow directly from Crimson Dawn rather than middle men.
  • Some of the Jedi try to negotiate for Remi’s life without strings to Crimson Dawn, this ultimately goes nowhere.
  • Keel offers to make a deal himself, Sestri objects in front of Apollo, Riordan and Atyuna are unsure but want to protect Remi who rightfully fears for her life.
  • Ultimately Sestri and Talia leave, Keel and Atyuna make a deal to work with Crimson Dawn in exchange for Remi to be their sole contact.

Narrative Selection (Sestri)

To the Council of the Jedi Order.

Masters,
I write to inform you of a disturbing development following our deployment against the Pyke operations on Teema-Vou and the subsequent investigation. We gathered intelligence that suggested that someone was expressing they had undue influence over our organization. While I personally dismissed this possibility at first my peers and Master Ke rightfully decided we should investigate.

The investigation, which involved the theft of one landspeeder [see invoice #2], led us into contact with one Apollo Vonte. A person I believe to be an underboss of Crimson Dawn. This was after we apprehended his sister, an agent of Crimson Dawn. She was our prisoner, and given the circumstances there was real reason to believe her life and person were now in grave if not imminent danger after the Hosnian Prime temple received threats from Apollo.

In this meeting which took place in a Crimson Dawn stronghold [coordinates attached] Apollo revealed that he had been behind some of our more recent intelligence windfalls against the Pyke syndicate. All in a bid to secure a position against his criminal rivals by handing them to us. He indicated two things, a desire to kill his sister describing her as a loose end, and a desire to openly ally with the Jedi order. Naturally we all declined the first condition outright. She was in our custody, and such a thing is unthinkable. The second however is far more disturbing. We had amongst ourselves discussed the possibility on the way there. We were not united in our opinions on the matter. In particular Padawan Kyyljitharr saw it as a net gain. I do not fault the logic, if Crimson Dawn could feed us information without us knowing it they could certainly continue to do so if we aren’t careful. Our priority as Jedi is to save and better lives. But to leave us beholden to such an organization, and even more vulnerable to their manipulations. That is corruption, and that is how it starts.

This disunity of opinion followed us into our meeting with Vonte. While we towed the line with regards to Remi, the question of alliance continued. When it seemed we were at an impasse, I told the group what we should do, walk away. I believed I imparted to Remi that we would protect her to the best of our ability, but made no move to force her to come with us. She was clearly scared, agitated, and fearing for her life. I did not want to add to her stress and on reflection I feel I’ve failed her. I tell you I know Talia Dreven walked out with me. The others hesitated, and when they came to the Peacekeeper it was without Remi. I know that Padawan Kyyljitharr had made an offer to accept Vontes deal on our behalf, and persisted with the offer over my objection. I have no real reason to suspect that Padawans Huntru and Alnahr participated in this as well, but I know when the three returned Remi Vonte was not with them. I suspect and accuse Padawan Kyyljitharr of conspiring and allying with Crimson Dawn, a known criminal entity. Such an alliance weakens and corrupts us. That any Jedi would consider this disturbs me.

Thank you for your time Masters,
Padawan Sestri Amena
