After returning from the Briartown farm lands with Hugo Compton loaded with harvested crops for Tribute, the PCs are shocked to find that "The Seeker" has demanded that the new tribute include able-bodied youths to join Unknown.
By running through the streets the PCs are finally able to make their escape, and hide out overnight.
Mama Hush tells them they will need to leave Briartown and that she knows of a possible cache of old "resistance" weapons. The players follow the clues to a manor house, where they confirm the weapons cache, after fighting off the undead cursed skeletons of the former nobleman and his family.
After saving Hugo Compton from an orc raid, the PCs take a cart and donkeys to the manor nobles farmhouse, and using the secret door in the well there, descend into a cave system where they find the cache of weapons and supplies
They are ambushed by an evil spell user and his goblin guards, which they are able to dispatch although Jagus is diseased via dark channeling, and loses his sense of smell.
Armed and supplied , the PCs decide to head out to The Smokey Forest , following a clue that "the fates" had something in store for them.
The final words from Mama Hush continue to play in their ears....
