The party having left Briartown several days earlier, found itself wet and miserable in the outer regions of The Smokey Forest.
During the middle of a rainy night they were set on by a pack of wolves, pushing them to the extent of their limits. Although they managed to kill two wolves, the party would have been surely killed were it not for a strange whistle that was heard over the wind and rain, forcing the wolf pack to depart.
Following the main road through the forest, the party came upon Fallen Leaf Village.
Seeking shelter the group came upon "The Tavern". Where they struck a deal with the barkeep, Winno for lodging. WInno required that the group get some of his patrons to repay their debt to him, in trade, he offered a dry stable for the party to rest, while they sorted out their next steps.
After helping the saw mill master, Ciry , earning a few bruises and scrapes in the process, the group stands poised to take the pig farmer, Uhet's, prize pig, "Wilbur" to the deeper forest, in search of what is causing the pigs to not find truffles.
