Symbol: A single eye or star behind a closed door
Domains: Vigilance, Secrets, Sacrifice
Lore:
Unlike the other Choir members, Thaziel is not above us; he is beneath. Legend holds that he once stood among the stars, but when the first true darkness stirred, he descended into the void willingly, sacrificing his place in the celestial choir to keep watch from below.
He is the silent guardian beneath the veil, the first to see the Maw’s hunger, and the last to abandon a dying light. Those who keep dangerous secrets, ward ancient places, or stand watch over the forgotten often venerate Thaziel in quiet devotion. Shrines to him are hidden in deep ruins, forgotten vaults, and secret sanctuaries: wherever light is most likely to be lost.
“The stars shine above… because he waits below.”
Mandate Practices:
Thaziel’s name is rarely shouted. His rites are practiced in silence, in deep spaces, or during solar and lunar eclipses. His followers are taught to observe before judging, to endure the weight of truth, and to protect what cannot protect itself. Those entrusted with forbidden relics, containment duties, or solitary stations often wear a token bearing his eye.
Some within the Mandate whisper that Thaziel’s gaze lingers near Myrren, where veil and memory are unstable... and where sacrifice may be needed once more.
