Running in the shadows tends to bring in a lot of cash, though it also requires many expenses - fake SINs, safehouses, weapons, programs, and spell formulae don't pay for themselves. Your Lifestlye is a rough description of how much your character spends on their daily life. Choose a Lifestyle from the list below.
Like
your Metatype, your Lifestyle acts as an Aspect. You can use your
Lifestyle to justify having certain comforts of life, and it can also be
used against you - after all, if you spend thousands a month on a fancy
condo, how could you possibly afford that shiny new cyberarm?
- Fancy - You have a nice roomy house or condo in a good part of town. You eat good food, have plenty of tech or servants to take care of chores, and you either have hired security or bribed enough gangs to feel relatively safe.
- Comfortable - You have a nice condo in a decently safe neighborhood, and enough tech to distract you from the meaninglessness of it all.
- Low - You have a small apartment, a stable supply of basic soy-based food, and warm water and power during the evening hours. It's livable, but missing many of the comforts of modern life.
- Squatter - You have a place to live, but it's a cramped apartment somewhere in the slums, or maybe a nightly sleeping pod with your name on it. You have regular enough meals, but it's rarely more than the most basic soy mix. In short, life isn't great, but at least you aren't on the streets.
- Street - You live out on the streets, maybe in a condemned building if you're lucky. You find whatever you can scavenge, rarely have the chance to bathe, and have no security but the reputation you make for yourself. But hey, at least it's free, right?
