Once, in the Old World, Trozhen was a criminal. Raised in an orcish tribe, all he ever knew was a life of robbery, banditry and violence. While never shamed for his half-human heritage, nevertheless Trozhen was always considered the "softie" of the group, and because of it either pitied or mistrusted.
The half-orc tried his best to prove himself worthy of the rest of the tribe, repressing what he thought of as his "human" half which, he believed, corrupted him somehow, made him lesser.
His life changed when, one night, Trozhen tried to rob a traveler on the road. They managed to subdue him and, instead of killing him like Trozhen expected, they offered him mercy, and the promise of a better life under the light of the Dawnflower. The half-orc listened to their tales, and ended up leaving alongside that kind traveler that had shown him mercy, converting to the religion and taking up the mantle of champion and redeemer, adopting the surname Dawnlight.
He has traveled to the New World in hope of spreading the good word of the Dawnflower, and to help any misguided souls he might find along the way, hoping to be as shining a beacon of light as that kind, merciful traveler had been to him.
