Sven... Packer... von Lambeau is a merchant hailing from The Frozen Tundra who has always gone by this name for as long as he can remember or is willing to acknowledge. This name of names was bestowed upon him by his dearest mother at his birth as most names are. That's how you know it's his real name. He was named after one of the family's great ancestors, who was also named Sven because that’s how being named after someone works. Ancestral Sven, along with his brother Ole, settled the hitherto uninhabited Great White North, founding the town of Uff Da, the Green Bay Mill, and the Lambeau estate.

He grew up in a prominent family of the "Packer Nation", a clan of ranchers, herders, farmers, cheesemakers, and butchers whose vertically integrated farming concern has brought great wealth to Packers, relative to the other inhabitants of The Frozen Tundra. His early years were spent under the finest tutors available, who also happened to be within his extended family and in close geographic proximity. While his older brother was expected to inherit, Sven focused on the mercantile aspects of the family business. This eventually sent him searching for new markets, favorable trade deals, and lucrative relationships. It also let him further his studies, of alchemy in particular, away from the judgmental backwards convictions of his family. This led to him making a great many friends in high and low places, like goblins, guild bosses, academics, freedom fighters, and the occasional privateer.

Sven’s studies have taught him a great many lessons in his 20 years. First, it is important to conduct through research. Second, research is more fun with friends... but not on friends... or friendly goblins... or regular goblins... or research induced psychosis goblins… or surviving angy post-research goblins. His studies have also taught him the importance of second chances and going through portals to avoid uncomfortable interactions with former research colleagues.
