Okar was abandoned at a young age for reasons he doesn't know, he barely remembers his tribe and aside from the language of Iruxi and his name he is completely distant to his culture, a reason why he acts a bit different from other lizardfolk such as being more expressive.
A couple weeks after he was abandoned he snuck into a traveling circus to steal food. He was noticed and while trying to escape the circus master saw he was talented when it comes to acrobatics so he decided to offer Okar work in the circus in exchange for food and a bed. Okar took the offer and ever since then he was traveling with the circus.
However he left the circus recently, currently his goal is to earn enough money and allies to find tribe and return back to the Old World to do so, truth is he doesn't even know what he will do once he finds them.
