The group traveled north-west towards the forest, and encountered a Unknown and a Unknown smoking Flayleaf, after the distraction they found the edge of the forest. The fog was mounting and an eerie scene came upon them, Halfling Ghosts paired in infinite battle after death of opposite faction. The group purged them by destroying them, and later went deeper into the forest when all of them but Gharok were taken by visions one by one, linked to a key individual in a battle between two factions, one white banner (much later, on other quests, it was leaned that they followed the Radianceand one black banner (similarly, it turned out that they followed the Sun-in-Shadow). Gharok, finding artefacts of these long dead combatants, broke the hold on some and the visions faded as the battle ended.

The group followed the now-implanted visions of two camps, and learned from the white banner camp to place the soul of the champion of the white onto a pedestal to send them to Heaven. Collecting what we could from the area, we traversed to the black camp which had a grisly axe and a similar station in which Zinlynndise Imare conversed with a Daemonic entity, which said it wanted the soul of the white champion to be devoured by some strange spawn to send it to their realm.

Reaching the combat zone of the two, they were less Ghosts and more Zombie-like, locked in eternal battle but two separate entities. Battle ensued when Gharok swiftly struck them down with lucky blows. We found a curious bowl filled with a black liquid that needed purged and shattered to end the Haunt, as it seemed to lock the souls to the location. Its origin is unknown, but the souls were freed with its destruction and given proper rites by Cornix the Beaker as Lynn began to regrow the forest.
