Found in the lair of a cursed beast, this blood-red +1 spear has wickedly sharp dual tips which frequently expel small droplets of crimson blood.

Activate (r) command; Frequency once per 10 minutes; Trigger You damage a creature using the bloody bident; Effect The spear burrows into the target, and the twin prongs split apart to form an anchor. As long as the bloody bident remains embedded in the creature, the creature suffers from 1d6 persistent bleeding damage that cannot be cured until the spear is removed. The creature can spend an Interact action to attempt a DC 18 Athletics check to remove the spearhead, otherwise the spear falls out automatically after 1 minute has passed.

Critical Success The bloody bident is removed, becomes broken, and falls to the ground in the creature's space.

Success The bloody bident is removed, the creature takes 1d4 piercing damage, and the spear falls to the ground in a random space adjacent to the creature.

Failure The bloody bident remains in place, and the creature takes 1d4 piercing damage.

Critical Failure As failure, except the creature takes 2d4 piercing damage.
