Kokoro the Song speaker, whose name means 'heart', is one of the Kitsune from the Unseen Village, located on the Verge. She looks like a beige-white humanoid fennec fox with a soft and gentle purr-like voice; she speaks an ancient-sounding Sylvan dialect (reflected by the usage of older English). Kokoro is polite but shy, and understandably not versed in the social intricacies of non-Kitsune civilisations.
An inquisitive traveller who is curious about the current state of the world and its inhabitants, she intends to explore it, though she isn't that skillful in tracking or orienting herself in space, which leads to Kokoro getting lost at times. She is a flute-wielding Bard with access to soothing magic, Magic Fang, innate electric arcs and the ability to fling wisps of fire from the tip of her tail.
She is often impulsive, recklessly rushing into danger or acting upon her whims, which had catastrophic consequences when she made a bargain with one of the Sea Hags in order to save her lover, Yuuko.
Kokoro mistakes Sprites for wayfaring Kami spirits, a belief which seems to be commonplace in this long-isolated Village. She is prone to showing respect and reverence (especially towards someone she holds in high regards) by kneeling and touching the ground with her arms and forehead.
She has her own shoddy rowboat that Fioria Finastasia masterfully refurbished for her.
Kokoro used to be one of the Nameless, since she traded the protection of the Spirits (and with it, her name and the traits associated with that name) for the annulment of her lover Yuuko's own bargain with the Hags. This made her bitter, vitriolic, heartless and downright rude and annoyed all the time. The Hag Veshta, known as 'Yuuko' at the time, was the one who handled this particular bargain. She was the only survivor of her coven, and escaped to Aburayan Springs after her two sisters were slain. There, she too was destroyed, and Kokoro regained her name and her true personality.
