Background:
Damin always had a knack to get himself into trouble. He grew up in a war zone and had been enrolled as a fighter when he was only 12. Hopefully for him, he managed to find a way out of that conflict, by joining a group of mercenary, the Black Fang, and leaving the region.
What he did not expect was the ruthlessness of those mercenaries. The first missions weren't so bad, escorting and protecting merchants, but after a while, he realized that those mercenaries were willing to do anything for money. When he was tasked to join a raid on a peaceful orc tribe to exterminate them all for no good reasons, he went and warn them instead.
That's how he met what he still consider today his second family. Rhonga, the orc he would fall in love with, as well as Graak and Grujak, two of his closest friends. Everything was joyful and calm for a while... until another orc tribe tried to unify all of the nearby orc tribes to form an Horde.
Damin who already saw the horror of war wanted to avoid his friends to be thrown into one and did the only think he could think of. He challenged a representative of the other tribe to a combat for the right to stay free.
The night before the combat, he was nervous and sure that he wouldn't be able to win that combat with his skill alone. But someone gave left him a gift in his home: a poison, that could be used to win the fight. He spent the whole night thinking about it and finally decided to throw his honor away to protect this new family of his.
The combat did not last long... he won, but he had a price to pay. Honor is very important to orcs, and using poisons in that kind of fights is a taboo. His win could not be taken away, it was too late for that. Instead his main hand was burned until he could no longer wield a sword properly with it in the future and then banished.
Following this banishment, Damin worked hard on training himself to use his left hand to fight, and to retrieve some utility with his main hand. With nothing left for him in the old world, he decided to see where the portal will lead him.
