Level 0 Information: Introductory, basic & mandatory knowledge for players and spectators

Declaration of Intents - A guide to the philosophy of the server and basic information. You must agree to this to participate in the server

Server guide and introduction - This contains an overview of the server as well as a basic character creation tutorial. Some of the information in the server guide may be redundant with links in here.

Level 1: Basic Player Knowledge, Downtime guide

#server-rules

  • Overview of general expectations, conduct, and quest channel format
  • Rules and format for RP scenes

#game-rules

  • General explanation of the server's goals
  • Details on procedure for all aspects of quests and downtime ventures/income
  • General rules for number of characters, special equipment, and death/retirement

#lore

  • Introductory Lore
  • Maps and things!
  • BTP Wiki: You're on it! In case this document is copied elsewhere, the link is here.

#useful-resources

  • Where we put links to things that we don't know where else to put them
  • They are hopefully useful! If something doesn't seem useful, ping an admin

#downtime

  • Where you will log what you do with downtime after you earn it
  • Guide to Downtime: How do you spend your downtime? What can you do with it? A basic guide to downtime.

#shops-and-services and #auction-house

  • Purchase items after quests here!
  • If an item isn't listed in one of these places, you cannot buy it.
  • Make sure you list what gold you spent in #shopping-log

Level 2: Advanced Player Knowledge, Orgs and Ventures

#wishing-statue

  • If you want a specific uncommon or rare item, feat, or spell, make a non-RP post here!
  • You can wish for common items as well, but you will also be able to purchase those normally. Items found on quests are cheaper to you, so long as they are not sold.

#faq

  • Previous rulings on complicated questions deemed important enough to clarify for everyone
  • If you have a question about a rules interaction that doesn't seem to be in the rest of the rules, check here first!

#organization-recruitment

  • This is where you go to look for Guild's orgs to join. You can also found a new organization with 3 members and 20 gold to get started. Each org may have a more detailed accounting of their rules and benefits. Such a detailed description is beyond the scope of this table, though there's a current list of orgs that have been formed and a broad overview of their purpose on the wiki.
  • Organization Overview: a detailed explanation of how orgs work.

#suggestions

  • If you have an idea to improve the server, post it here!
  • We've been using the threading feature to categorize discussion underneath the suggestion.
  • This document came together from a suggestion! Be the change you want to see in the server!
