Born in the sticks within the Old World Tack grew up with a poor struggling family. His mother and father working everyday from dusk till dawn in their small butcher shop to support their 5 kids. As the oldest if Tack was not helping the shop he was out and about finding whatever odd job he could to earn some extra coppers. Scarcely having friends of his own his free time was spent at an old clinic with his only friends. An older Dwarven man who ran the clinic with his granddaughter. Always helping him with some extra coin when he could. This sparked a great interest in medical practice for Tack and he would later take an apprenticeship with the doctor. His young teen years to his mid 30s learning all he could with the dwarven man. Eventually he passed and Tack took over the practice. Over the course of 3 years he fell in love with the granddaughter, Mari, and married her.
His family also had a stroke of luck and were able to secure a more comfortable living situation during his apprenticeship. His siblings going all across the world with some pursuit of adventure calling them away from home. Tack, despite his ancestries affinity with adventure, had his right at home. During the next few decades Tack and Mari had many children of their own. It also sparked an inner fire in him which opened his passion for the spiritual. Before he was uninterested in the gods and their many wars and skirmishes. However his first child brought a new light(so to speak) to his viewpoint. The many books on the subject brought him to one deity in particular, Sarenrae; The goddess of light, fire, and healing. He found a small gathering for a preacher who spoke every week of her teachings. He bought books, scrolls, and drawings of all manner to learn all he could.
His faith brought his love for helping people and learning about all the ways he could closer to his heart and staved of his bleaching just as it always had. When him and his wife had their youngest, twins, marking his 6th and 7th children. He couldn't be happier. As more years passed however and the less he could learn about medical knowledge and Sarenrae the more of the bleaching affected him. Worried he sought answers from travelers and other experts of medicine. He knew the only solution was to find a passion to pursue; something that would keep his adventurous spirit aflame. He spent months praying and meditating to Sarenrae and found an answer. The New World was what he sought. A place with foreign knowledge of all sorts he could find a way to stave the bleaching for a number of years surely.
Leaving was too much to bare for him however. Even with his wife and childrens blessings. He lost a part of himself and started balding the first day away. His hair turned from a bright red to a dull blonde. Even his beard has begun to thin and turn mangled. Whether it was a side effect of the bleaching or the guilt, pain, and sadness of leaving his children he was determined in his journey to keep living for the sake of his family.
