Claudin is a golden-winged Melixie Unknown. He lost his eye, and one of his wings was almost torn out, resulting in a slight wobbling "limp" when he flies. The flutter of his wings often produces fine flakes of gold glitter.
He wears a glimmering, four-pronged comb in his hair to keep it in place; it's missing a tooth and is decorated by a clover with four leaves. A rather simple, sparsely patterned shawl is wrapped around the right side of his face, hiding his missing eye.
Claudin was first encountered during the quest All Work and No Play, as one of the suspects for being a potential spy for Lady Vesper. During the final play of the quest, his equivalent was Kakkariel.
"Ha! Eccentric... For a nation that shouts so loudly about freedom this, freedom that, they sure do have a lot of rules in here, don't they?" Claudin scoffs dismissively, and takes a large gulp from his mug. "I am bound, sure. Though it has nothing and everything to do with duty, one could say." He glances away, towards the Gaiety, and thinks for a little bit. "... No, I can't quite get used to it. Well, the... physical aspect of it, that is. I am no stranger to having my face pass unseen," Claudin offers a dry chuckle as his fingers caress his shawl. - Viktor |
Claudin showed mild disregard for the local customs of Visage, and scepticism towards Eleutherian pursuits of freedom and liberty. He used to get drunk in the local tavern, 'The Winding Witness', where he also rented one of the bedrooms. Claudin was employed as a hunter and gatherer for the inhabitants of the hamlet, which he was recording in his ciphered diary; he hid his spying tasks among these records.
During his stay in Visage, Claudin was begrudgingly wearing a gilded bauta mask, according to local traditions, but he abandoned it once his identity as a spy and a would-be murderer were revealed.

As a consequence of these crimes, Lord Attys exiled him from Eleutheria and the Fey lands in general. Claudin was ferried across the Lake by Marsyas, and he departed through the portal in the Temple of the Two Suns, to continue his life on the Watchers' Island. He now resides in First Landing, and can sometimes be seen in the Blinking Pug. Ishka'tar learned that he is now studying under Elvira to become a baker, though this is unknown to the majority of people at this moment.
