Archiebald, son of Deion and grandson of Throll, was born of warrior blood to a small tribe of humans in the frozen mountains of the Old World. Before his birth, the village shamans read the stars and spoke of a great warrior soon to be born. From his youth, Archie was physically superior to his peers, being able to hold his own against the teenagers of the tribe. However, what made him stand out the most was his father, the chieftain and lead hunter of the village, who could kill cave bears with his bare hands. Archie had long since sought his father's approval; he went hunting solo, spending hours in the mountain hunting a stag only to return and be reprimanded for potentially endangering himself and forcing the hunters to abandon a hunt to form a search party. When he turned 16, he was more than capable of besting any hunter in physicality; because of this, the village elders thought it a sign that he should be made a hunter. Of course, being the village's youngest hunter was insufficient for him to garner his father's approval. That night, as Archie stared into the fire, he was filled with purpose. Under the cover of night, he carefully made his way out of the village, using the same hole in the fence he had taken to hunt the stag. In the days leading up to his promotion, whispers of a giant cave bear had taken over the tribe, stemming from the corpses of other cave bears strewn around the woods. It was this very bear that Archie hoped to find, to finally prove to his father that he was deserving of his approval. It took hours for him to find the trail but it led him to an opening where he saw the beast sleeping. It looked less like a bear and more like the gods the shamans told stories about. Claws that looked like they could slash a man in half, a mouth large enough to devour a man whole, and teeth long enough to be considered daggers. Archie felt fear for the first time in his life as he nocked an arrow, contemplating whether he could take the shot. Suddenly, a large branch collapsed under the weight of the snow behind him, scaring Archie enough to accidentally let the arrow loose and far off his original target. With a roar, the bear awoke, seeing Archie and barrelling at him before delivering a swipe that sent Archie into a tree, knocking him out.

Archie awoke several days later in the medical tent. Soon finding out he had only survived, his childhood friend Amadeus, who had followed him when he left, threw himself at the beast to distract it while the hunting party followed soon after. After days, Archie was finally allowed to see Amadeus, barely hanging onto life as he delivered his final words to Be Free. After burying his friend, Archie packed his bags and left, swearing to never be so weak as to let someone die to save him.

During his time as an adventurer, Archie has fought fire elementals, celestial hunters, demons, hags, and giant beasts, all of which have left scars and burns across his body. Now as the second champion of a mysterious entity, Archie seeks to create a world where the weak are purged so that humanity may survive the days to come.
