Loose ends: where did the lost fire Elemental come from?
Short summary:
A group decided to scout the Millennium Sequoia. They didn't end up doing that, but they did meet one of the Unknown merchants, were attacked by giant rats, and helped a forest guardian protect the woods from a lost fire Elemental.

Scouting Mission
We have taken up a scouting request for Millennium Sequioa.
First day, was a day of travel. Nothing interesting happened as we kept going towards the forest.
Before making camp we realized there is a magical presence nearby. We decided to end our first day before making any sudden moves.
Day two, in the heavy fog we found what appeared to be a circus tent. Its purple and bright green sheets seemed to swirl at their ends like they wanted to float away in the mist.
A Unknown creature was inside the tent, which appears to be a travelling trader. He said he wound exchange in both coin and soul. That makes me think he was some kind of Duskwalker, but perhaps I am wrong on that.
I found an interesting potion which I acquired through trade with gold. A potion that transforms the user to a Unknown for a limited time. It could be helpful for the people who try to improve the relations of First Landing with the Kobold Tribe nearby.
This person told us that he moves around all the time, trying to find trade wherever he goes. People should keep an eye out for this one.
In the second night we were attacked by some giant rats. Nothing a man of my stature couldn’t handle.
On the third day we found a creature set on fire. After further investigation we realized it is some sort of Unknown which is probably lost. In an attempt to protect the forest from burning, we tried to restrain it but couldn’t avoid conflict. Things took a bad turn when one of our companions was forced to recall, but thankfully a guardian of the forest aided us. I still think it was no match for me, but I welcome any help in this land. I am not sure what it had to say, but it seemed friendly. Sven might have more information about what they said.
We must be aware even of friendly creatures like these though, as I am pretty sure it casted a spell before it left, leaving us dancing for a couple of minutes.
