There's nothing going on here you need to worry about.
Aside from:
- The forest is a deep, overgrown tropical jungle
- An Angazhani is a formidable adversary rampaging through the forest. Unless lured out of the forest, it is an undying entity, though it might take few hours to wake up after being "killed"
- Frequent rains and storms have made Shamblers a prominent group in the forest, albeit mostly passive unless approached.
- Forest features mostly animals and beasts, they are however mutated - a predator will have prominent features of its prey, and will have the abilities that come from them - for example an Ogre Spider might have a flight speed thanks to wings from Giant Dragonfly
- Edge of the forest might feature less changes, with smaller (and thus easier) enemies, but the heart of the forest should feature frequent megafauna - overgrowth and overabundance of food, even if that food causes mutations (if players eat something from there, ping Gray Scale)causes the animals to increase in size beyond their normal means - creatures might have increased sizes as well.
12/29 (Clay) - Party landed on shore to travel through the forest, the shoreline is described with clinging fog during the night and in to the morning. Much of the shallow coast has rock coverage, larger boulders giving way to smaller smooth stones. Rocky shores make for difficult landing, and it is difficult to find a location to bring any boat ashore. The rocky beach can be reached by foot.
