Jericho always knew that there were things that went bump in the night, and that sometimes, when you stare into the Abyss, the Abyss doesn't always just stare back. Whether it's the raiders that burned down his home and slaughtered his family, or the pack of werewolves that tore apart his mentor's caravan, monsters wear many faces, and have many names. And despite the tragedies, he's managed to pull through them all. It could be luck, it could be fate, or some cruel joke. Either way, he's learned everything he could about fighting back against such misfortunes, and brings that knowledge to the New World, where new, and old, threats to civilization are just outside the walls.
