Galfast was a Unknown that lived a long time ago, somewhere around the Cathedral of Grey Grace. Together with Trakan Sparrowtuft and Okoth Goldbreeze, she participated in the events that led to the civil war between three Halfling factions, in the war itself, and in its aftermath. During the shared vision that occurred during Take Me to Church, Bethany Claie was the one seeing through Galfast's eyes.
Galfast was a crossbow-wielding Gunslinger, originally a follower of the Radiance, or the Sun-in-Splendour, the deity of the Halflings of the White Banner, aka the Halflings of the Ivory. At some point, she belonged to the Black Banner, aka the Sable fabtion, but it didn't last. She also joined the Grey Banners of Odwulf Goldbreeze, but became disillusioned by this movement, and betrayed him, leading Okoth and Trakan to him, and killing him, kickstaring the civil war. Ultimately, she never knew where she truly belonged.
