A Republic Bugbear occupied castle in the mountains, used as a refuge for the lich Merry
First discovered by The Ashen Hawk and company in the quest A Very Merry Hunt , which is part of the The Edge of Entropy quest line.
The name was revealed in the Gwyddfa, which provided Cornix the Beaker a mental compass towards Tanoronti Shin. The Gwyddfa described the place as a mine in the mountains. Traveling there proved a difficult task, as the mountain elevation made it difficult to breath without proper acclimatization. The mountainous terrain is also a place with strong weather storms that pass through from the southern seas.
The path up the mountains would have you approach the castle from the west, over looking a large descent next to a crystal clear waterfall. The castle itself is small, with walls and watch towers and a humble keep; inside of which there are barracks, studies, and a mess hall for any occupying force. In the courtyard is a trap door that has a teleporter that leads elsewhere, most likely Merry's current lair.
At the end of A Very Merry Hunt the castle was left to the keep of a lone bugbear scientist who was spared by Ashen Hawk. The soldiers accompanying the scientists however did not survive the events of that quest.
