Loose threads Langim's vessel needs improvements, Last of the cultists may still be alive and occupying the pyramid,

Locations Underwater Pyramid

Short summary:

After finding a... questionable mode of transportation in the form of the vessel made by Langim Flickertrick, powered by trapped elementals, we reached the site of the pyramid. The Whirlpool was reopened, so after forcibly closing it again, we entered the pyramid from the top side.
In a chamber located there we were ambushed by cultists, including their high priest and some kind of hybrid creature. We dispatched of the priest, but the regeneration proved too much of an issue, and remaining cultitsts knocked us out and thrown into a prison.

After effortlessly escaping from it, we barricaded ourselves in a chamber where we found silver tools to fight with and recuperate. After being discovered that we escaped, the cultists quickly found us, but we were ready to defend ourselves. Among them there was a Faceless Stalker. We proceeded into the tunnel we discovered, at the bottom of which we found an ooze.
Turns out it was a garbage chute, and we almost took ourselves out.

Full Report

Following the lead Hakuto provided, knowledge gathered from an old tome signed by Merger about a prison hidden in the depths of the ocean, and the recent reports about the issues still present at the Underwater Pyramid, Hakuto, Felmire, Khirl Galesinger and Purpureous decided to investigate it.

And so we set out. Once we reached the town that established itself on the coast nearest the site of the Pyramid, we were caught by a storm. And it was not a natural storm, but rather magical in nature. After asking around we found a Gnome, presumed member of the Guild, by the name of Langim Flickertrick. When we mentioned we're looking for a vessel to set out into the sea, Langim was anxious to go immediately, despite the storm.

Hakuto's note
More specifically, because of the storm. As it turned out later, Langim's vessel - he called it Bucket - is powered by a motor that he invented in order to combat the sailing vessels created by the Republic. The energy for the movement comes from a special motor that uses the potential energy stored within the bodies of Air Elementals.

Storm turned out to indeed be magical, because it was caused by a swarm of air elementals, Living Thunderclaps. Seemingly drawn to the bronze orb that powers the vessel, they attacked us. We managed to fend them off, draining them into the orb in the process, which also stabilized the engine.
When we reached the edge of the unexpected whirlpool, magic that allows breathing underwater was cast. After securing Felmire with a rope, she jumped in. Being tossed around a bit, she eventually got to the top of the pyramid. There, she found a crystal that she removed, which disrupted the magic that maintained the whirlpool. After the waters calmed down a little, we left Langim to his own devices and joined her.

Spending some time at the peak to tend to some bruises, we eventually opened the hatch and entered. By that point, the cultists inside the pyramid were prewarned of our presence, so they were ready. We were ambushed.
The cultists were not powerful, but because of the regeneration they exhibited they were a tough nut to crack. A solid hit with life-draining magic proved effective against the high priest summoner, but the remaining forces, including some kind of hybrid creature managed to whittle us down.

They didn't seem interested in killing us immediately, but neither were they keen on keeping us alive. Barely alive they tossed us into a prison and left us.
They also, quite stupidly, left our gear within our sight, which allowed us to quite easily escape. After gearing up again, we moved to one of the nearby chamber which we could quite easily barricade. During that time Purpureous decided they are done and left, but the rest of us were still curious about the Pyramid. After spending sufficient time to tend to our wounds there, and using silver tools and utensils there to create some makeshift silver weapons, we were discovered and attacked by a group lead by a Faceless Stalker. With little issues we took care of the stalker, and then proceeded down into a chute that we discovered in the chamber.
At the bottom of it, we were ambushed by some type of ooze, which almost managed to dissolve us.
As it turned out, the chute was little more than a garbage disposal.

After that threat was, barely, taken care of, we decided not to push our luck any further, and retreat while we still can.

Hakuto's note

Please, for the love of gods, people. Try to be smarter than your enemies, and use their weaknesses against them. Oozes are slow, so hit-and-run is the safest method for dealing with them, don't just try to hit them harder than they can hit you.
